Batman Forever

Description

Batman Forever is an action computer game released in 1996 for the DOS operating system. The game is based on the popular comic book story Batman by DC Comics, as well as the film of the same name.

The main goal of the game is to create an atmosphere of dark Gotham, which the developers certainly succeeded in doing. As Batman, you must embark on dangerous missions to save the citizens of Gotham from criminals like the Joker, Two Face and the Riddler.

The graphics in the game are quite decent for their time. Most of the emphasis was on the details of the environments and characters. The fight scenes are dynamic and prepare you for the obstacles you have to overcome. You won't be able to just get through the game without martial arts, which is essential for success in missions.

The music and sound effects are also of a good standard. The dark and suspenseful melodies fit perfectly with the theme of the game and keep you in a pleasantly tense atmosphere at all times. The sound effects, especially during the battle scenes, are of very high quality and add to the authenticity of the whole game experience.

One of the best features of the game is the ability to play as either of the two main characters, Batman or Robin. Each character has their own special abilities and fighting tactics, which makes the game even more challenging.

The game has a story campaign that isn't very long, but still offers plenty of action and various challenges. Unfortunately, it is not possible to save the game during missions, which can be frustrating for some players.

The only noticeable flaw in the game is the controls. The key combinations can be tricky for some and can take some getting used to. Additionally, the lack of tutorials or tutorials on the basics of the controls can also lead to frustration for players.

The rating of Batman Forever for DOS is rather positive. The dark atmosphere, quality graphics and sound effects, plenty of characters and varied missions make for an engaging gaming experience. The only noticeable drawback is the difficulty of the controls, which may be a hindrance for some players. However, if you like Batman and action games, you will definitely enjoy this game.
