An American Tail: Fievel Goes West

Description

An American Tail: Fievel Goes West is a platform game that is based on the film of the same name. The main character of the game is a young mouse named Fievel Mousekewitz. After making the journey across the ocean to the United States at the turn of the 20th century, the Mousekewitz family decided to start a new life on the wild, open frontier of the western United States. Fievel quickly makes friends and plays on the dusty streets, imagining that he is a great gunslinger. He has always had the dream of becoming a cowboy. However, things are not going as planned because the nefarious Cat R. Waul and his gang of cats (along with other creatures) have designs on transforming this location into an all-you-can-eat buffet for mice. Fievel is in charge of thwarting Cat's schemes, and he will do so with the assistance of Wylie Burp, the canine deputy, and Tiger, Cat's friend who doesn't partake in eating mice.

This game is a classic example of the action platformer genre. As he makes his way through each level in search of coins, Fievel is equipped with a jump button and a pop gun. The pop-firing gun's capacity can be upgraded to allow it to launch more lethal projectiles.
