Duck Hunt

Description

The video game Duck Hunt is a hunting simulator in which the player takes his trusty canine companions with him as he goes in search of ducks. It is necessary to use the Zapper light gun in order to accomplish this. Players take on the role of a first-person explorer as they navigate a marshy environment in game modes A and B. In mode A, the dog terrifies the ducks into flying out of the swamp one at a time, while in mode B, it does so in pairs. The ducks are in the air and moving around, and the player has three opportunities to shoot them before they fly away. The player also has a limited amount of time to do so. Each round has a predetermined cap on the number of misses that are permissible before moving on to the next. As the game progresses through its rounds, the ducks begin flying at a faster and faster pace, and there is less room for missed shots. Using a controller that is plugged into port 2, a second player can take control of the duck's movements when playing the game in mode A.

Clay pigeons, rather than ducks, serve as the objects of target practice in Mode C. The point of view and the rules are the same in this situation, and you only have three shots to eliminate two clay pigeons before they vanish beyond the horizon. Destroy a sufficient number of clay pigeons to advance to the subsequent, more difficult round.
