Empire II: The Art of War
Description
The famous computer wargame, Empire, has received yet another update in the form of Empire II: The Art of War. (See Empire Deluxe.) This iteration features an expanded selection of terrains, as well as additional sighting and mobility regulations. Land units now have the ability to receive damage during skirmishes, rather than merely winning or losing (being destroyed) as they did previously. This is a huge development. Additionally, there are new regulations regarding the morale of units. When the morale of a unit drops too low, they will flee regardless of whether or not you tell them to. Aside from that, there have been other additions made, such as the ability for reinforcements to appear at specific turns and weather elements.
The scenario builder has been improved so that players may now design not just their own maps and scenarios, but also their own custom troops, complete with their statistics and the graphics for those data. Players will be able to engage in whatever kinds of fights they want, including those based on history, fantasy, and science fiction.
