GS Mikami - Joreishi wa Nice Body

Description

A mysterious package is delivered to the Mikami Ghost Sweeping Company during an otherwise uneventful day at work. It would appear that the kind and elderly storekeeper Yakuchin discovered a magical statue, and he reasoned that Mikami would be the best person to care for it. Since it is common knowledge that where there is magic, there is also wealth (or something to that effect), Reiko immediately sets out to locate the seven gems that are required to finish the statue.

The Ghost Sweeper Mikami manga and anime have been adapted into a video game in the form of a side-scrolling platform game called GS Mikami: Joreishi wa Nice Body. The player assumes control of Reiko, who wields an enchanted baton and can use it to ward off ghosts and monsters. The power of the baton can be increased so that it can fire icicles or lightning at an angle, but if Reiko is struck, the power will be deactivated. Only up to three special weapons, such as a scroll that draws enemies into it or a gem that freezes time, can be held in Reiko's inventory at one time. After completing one or two platforming levels in a given scenario, the player will face a boss in the subsequent round.
