Donkey Kong Country

Description
Bananas belonging to Donkey Kong were taken by King K. Rool, and Donkey Kong needs your assistance in regaining possession of them. While you are on your way to find K. Rool, the Kremling horde stands in your way. The Kremlings are a group of crocodile-like creatures that consist of Kritters (which can be killed by giving them a simple jump on the head), Krushas (which are almost impossible to kill), and others. There are a variety of additional foes that stand in your way, including beavers, snakes, and vultures. They are led by dastardly bosses such as Very Gnawty, Necky, Queen B., and Dumb Drum, and each of them blocks the way with their own unique brand of malevolence.
Diddy Kong is now a member of the Kong family; however, these two primates are very different from one another. For instance, Donkey Kong has a greater overall strength; he can dispatch the majority of his foes with a single jump and can lift barrels directly above his head in order to throw them further. On the other hand, Diddy is able to run really fast and do cartwheels, but he is not as strong as Donkey. Diddy is faster than Donkey, but he is not as strong. Diddy protects himself from attacks from the front by carrying barrels in front of him to use as a shield.
The game is divided into a number of different worlds, each of which contains a number of distinct levels. Each level features bonus areas, which allow players to earn extra lives, bananas, and medallions as they progress. At the conclusion of each world is a boss, which is typically a more powerful version of one of the world's more common foes.
A handheld version of the game that was originally released for the Super Nintendo was later made available. The version for the Game Boy Color features an extra bonus game called Funky's Fishing in addition to five different Crosshair Cranky minigames. This level is only available on the Game Boy Color version. In addition to that, there were collectible DK sticker packs hidden here and there throughout the different levels. The Game Boy Printer allowed users to print their own copies of these sticker packs. After you have completed the main game, you will unlock two additional difficulties for the game to play at. When a player has completed the game once, they are able to disable the DK barrels, and when they have completed the game twice, they are able to disable the checkpoint barrels.
The version for the Game Boy Advance also included some additional bonus games. It also includes a version of Funky's Fishing, but instead of the games based on crosshairs, it features Candy's Dance Studio, which includes six different dance-based games. There is also a time attack mode called DK Attack, a harder difficulty mode called Hero Mode (in which the player can only play as Diddy Kong, and the game no longer offers Donkey Kong barrels or checkpoints throughout the levels), and the idea of collecting sticker books from the Gameboy Color version has been replaced with collecting scrapbook pictures instead. These additions bring the total number of modes in this game to four.
