Dirt Racer

Description

The racing video game known as Dirt Racer features a total of five different off-road courses and three distinct vehicles to choose from (truck, buggy and stock car). The player may choose to compete in either a league, which consists of three divisions, each with eight drivers, or a tournament, which uses a knock-out format (also eight participants). The actual races are always run on a one-on-one basis, and the winner is the participant who finishes with the fastest overall time. If the player drives into the water or into another obstacle, time is lost and the car is set back on the course; however, the player is only allowed to do this a certain number of times before the game is over and they have failed the race. The controls give you a choice between two different rates of acceleration, and three different levels of stopping power. Although there is room for up to eight players to compete in the events, only two players can race against each other at any given time.
