FIFA - Road to World Cup 98
Description
The edition of FIFA that took place in the late 1990s was intricately connected to the process of selecting teams to compete in the 1998 World Cup. In the mode titled "Road to the World Cup," your objective is to lead a team all the way through the process of qualifying for the main tournament, making use of the various regional rules and regulations along the way. The game takes place in a total of 16 unique outdoor stadiums. There are 189 clubs participating in the League play across 11 different leagues. The background noise will feature cheers and chants that are unique to each of the competing teams.
The action moves much more quickly than in previous iterations, and the artificial intelligence has been significantly improved. The players each have a unique appearance, including their hair and facial features. Des Lynam serves as the host for the broadcast, while John Motson and Andy Gray, a former international for Scotland, provide commentary for each game.
