Dual Orb II

Description

In the distant past, the wrath of a powerful dragon was responsible for the obliteration of a prosperous civilization. The entire planet was engulfed in flames, and not a single person managed to flee the impending doom. One man, however, was able to time travel a thousand years into the future and escape the catastrophe. The people of the Kardosa Empire discovered him there, and they quickly realised that they were holding in their hands a human being who possessed the secret to an advanced ancient technology that was unknown to the primitive civilization that existed at the time...

You take on the role of Aleth, the son of the High Priest in the modest kingdom of Garade. Aleth resides in harmony with his close friend Lagnus, the Prince of Garade, and the two enjoy their time together. One day, Aleth finds himself inadvertently in possession of a priceless artefact that is being sought after by the Kardosan Empire. Aleth and Lagnus become embroiled in a conflict that will soon lead them to significant discoveries regarding the mysteries of an ancient civilization, the catastrophic event that took place a thousand years ago, and their own genuine identities...

The game is a role-playing game (RPG) in the Japanese style: your party faces randomly encountered foes and bosses and engages in turn-based combat with them while viewing the action from an isometric perspective. You can upgrade your armour by purchasing it, and you can also buy weapons, but those weapons can also be upgraded for additional costs to various levels, allowing you to create powerful attacks known as "techs."
