X-COM: Apocalypse

Description

Since the end of the previous Alien War, things have not gone particularly well. The world's resources have been depleted, and the majority of the people has moved into the last bastion of hope, which is the city of Mega-Primus, which is completely self-sufficient. Things were looking up until an unexplained vortex appeared in the sky, at which point extraterrestrial craft emerged from it. It would appear that the X-COM is required once more.

X-COM: Apocalypse is the third installment in the X-COM series. It is a sequel to the previous game in the series, X-COM: Terror from the Deep. It is a hybrid real-time and turn-based strategy game that includes a wide range of gameplay elements, including research, resource management, macro and micro tactical battles, and more. At the city screen, the player takes control of vehicles to take on various types of enemies, ranging from hostile human factions to extraterrestrial UFOs. In the event that a UFO has touched down or an infiltration has been detected, the vehicles will land or dock at the location of the infestation and immediately begin engaging in tactical battle with the available equipment. After the player has succeeded in capturing aliens and alien technology, the scientists will be able to study it and possibly even replicate it for the player's use.

The player will also be responsible for maintaining a healthy budget, as hiring agents and purchasing equipment are both costly endeavors. It is imperative that the various human factions be appeased at all times; otherwise, they might rebel against the X-COM. In order to outfit his squads in the vehicles, the player is need to employ new recruits, purchase guns, ammunition, and equipment, and equip the vehicles themselves with weapons and ammo. The Cityscape is the name of the management mode for locating unidentified flying objects, and the Battlescape is the name of the distinct area in which the player engages in fight with the individual extraterrestrials who were able to evade capture.

Reworked graphics, wider areas, a more complex universe, and the option to choose between real-time and turn-based tactical combat are some of the ways in which this installment in the series differs from the games that came before it in the series. In addition, the player won't just be fighting aliens; they'll also have to contend with different human factions, including everything from a cult that worships extraterrestrial invaders to gangs, industrial giants to security agencies.
