Tomb Raider II

Description

Chinese rulers are said to have led their armies with the help of the fabled Dagger of Xian. It is stated that by sticking this dagger through one's own heart, one can transform into a dragon. Tibetan monks were able to remove the dagger from one of the emperors' hearts and return it to its resting position on the Great Wall when he used it for that purpose. The archaeologist Lara Croft must use all of her resources to stop a strong Venetian crime lord from gaining the dagger after learning about it while researching the mythology.

The gameplay and idea of Tomb Raider II are identical to those of its predecessor. It is an action game with platforming and puzzle-solving components. Lara uses her athletic prowess to navigate perilous 3D levels while resolving environmental puzzles makes up the majority of the gameplay. The follow-up emphasizes combat more and includes several human adversaries. A harpoon gun, a grenade launcher, and an M16 rifle are additional armaments. Magnums from the first game are replaced by automatic pistols.

In the game, the player can operate two different types of vehicles, including a speedboat in Venice and a snow scooter in Tibet. Lara can now scale ladders and roll in the air before landing in a different spot. In the follow-up, players can save their progress anywhere.
