B-17 Flying Fortress

Description

The B-17 Flying Fortress is a recreation of the infamous heavy bomber that saw service during World War II.

Following the naming of oneself and the addition of nose art to one's bomber, one is required to fly one of several randomly allocated bombing missions over Germany. In addition to real-time flight simulation, this game also includes crew management elements. Each of the ten members of the crew has a rating in a certain category, such as piloting, bombing, or gunnery. If it becomes necessary due to injuries sustained during a mission, crew members are able to be moved to other locations. The player has complete control over all aspects of the game, including the pilot seat, the guns, and the bombing sight.

In order to successfully finish a tour of duty, a historically accurate total of 25 missions must be flown and survived.
