Jetfighter: Full Burn
Description
Full Burn was released at some point in the timeline between Jetfighter III and IV. It is a video game that veers away from realism in favor of arcade-style action and incorporates an interactive movie feel similar to that of Wing Commander.
As soon as the game begins, a fight between the United States, or should I say NATO, and Russia breaks out over certain oil fields in Norway. This sets the backdrop for the primary storyline of the game, which may be experienced from either the Russian or the NATO point of view depending on which side you choose to play. The campaign is composed of linear pre-made missions with FMV scenes interwoven in between each mission in the game. You travel to the appropriate room and click on hotspots in order to initiate the sequences, just like in the Wing Commander video games. Scenes take place in various locations throughout the game.
On the NATO side, you'll fly the F/A-18 and F-22N, and on the Russian side, you'll fly the fictional MiG-42. The flight models for these aircraft are simplistic, but they nonetheless allow you to complete missions effectively. The game utilizes the same engine that was used for Jetfighter 3, and it allows for a maximum of sixteen people to participate in multiplayer sessions.
