Hagane: The Final Conflict

Description

The Holy Grail, which is rumoured to have the ability to bring about the end of the world, is guarded by the Fuma clan. Only one ninja manages to escape the assault launched by the Koma clan and the subsequent theft of the Holy Grail. After being reprogrammed into a cyborg, it is now his responsibility to find the Holy Grail and save the world.

The action-oriented platformer Hagane is comprised of five stages, each of which is further subdivided into several smaller stages, and is packed with a large number of foes, jumping puzzles, and mid- and endbosses. The main character, whose name gives the game its title, has the ability to double jump, leap off of walls, use four different types of weapons, slide over the ground, somersault to avoid attacks, and use a variety of different special attacks.

A throwing knife, a chain, a small bomb, and a shorter sword are all included in the arsenal. Both bombs and knives have a finite supply of ammunition, which can be replenished by collecting the appropriate items that have been dropped by defeated foes.

When the shoulder buttons are pressed and held down for an extended period of time, Hagane will somersault and leap across the screen. By pressing the jump or attack button at any point throughout this movement, Hagane is able to perform a variety of special attacks, including flaming punches, kicks, and backflips, among others.
