World Heroes

Description

In the year 3091, an extraterrestrial being known as Geegus poses a threat to the planet Earth. After all of Earth's armies have been vanquished, a scientist uses the time machine he just finished building to search through history for the most formidable warriors from each era so they can do battle with Geegus.

The combat in World Heroes takes place between two players. It includes a cast of characters from a variety of countries and eras, ranging from ninjas to a cybernetic super-soldier, among other things. The characters have supernatural abilities, but they are based on real historical figures from that time period. The game begins with the player choosing a character, who will then either engage in one-on-one matches in the traditional fashion or take on an opponent in a Deathmatch, which features spiked walls and landmines as additional hazards.
