Kart Race

Description

The video game Kart Race is, as its name suggests, a racing game in which players compete in little open four-wheeled cars known as karts. The participants are children ranging in age from eight to twelve years old. Gamers have the option of racing against an artificial intelligence program or competing against each other in a mode designed for two players. There are eight different playable characters from which to choose.

The circuits take place in a variety of natural settings, including farmland, water, parts of frozen terrain, desert, and so on. Every player's health can be replenished if they drive over one of the many different types of food that are strewn across the levels. In addition, characters have the ability to pick up bowling pins and clubs, both of which grant them the ability to launch bowling balls or fireballs at foes in limited numbers, respectively. There are also yellow barrels around the game that, if touched by a character, may cause them to catch fire and become immobilized for a brief period of time.
