D-Force

Description

A scrolling shooter played from the top down. The players are in control of a helicopter and must battle their way through a number of levels while shooting anything and everything that moves. There is a chance that defeated foes will leave behind power-ups that will either enhance the primary weapon of the helicopter or provide it with homing missiles as a secondary weapon. D-Force possesses not only the typical "shooting mode," but also a "exploration mode," in addition to both of these modes. When playing in exploration mode, the player's helicopter will come under attack from animals rather than from other helicopters or warplanes. In this mode, the shoulder buttons can be used to change the height at which the helicopter is flying, allowing the player to attack (or avoid) enemies located at different levels.
