Blazing Skies

Description

The events of the game take place during the First World War. Pick one of the five allied fighter pilots to represent your side in the conflict against the Central Powers. The player will complete a total of 20 missions throughout the course of the game, the last of which will culminate in a confrontation with "The Red Baron."

The missions are essentially the same as they were in Wings, the game that came before this one. There are dogfights in the sky, which are obviously the most important part of the game, but there are also bombing missions in which you have to eliminate targets that have been circled in an aerial photograph, strafing runs in which you get to blast anything that you fancy blasting with an unlimited supply of ammo, and so on.

If a mission is completed without failure, the player will have the opportunity to boost the successful pilot's capabilities in one of the following areas: flying, shooting, mechanics, or stamina. If a mission is unsuccessful, the pilot runs the risk of receiving a less-than-honorable discharge or even losing their life.
