3x3 Eyes: Jūma Hōkan

Description

The manga series 3x3 Eyes serves as the inspiration for the anime Jma Hkan. A small group of people in ancient China uncovered the key to immortality a very long time ago. They attained the status of "sanzhiyan," which literally translates to "three-eyed ones," and were endowed with supernatural powers, which were displayed in the third eye that each of them possessed. Pai, a member of the sanzhiyan race, harboured a deep desire to one day return to her former life as a typical human. Fujii, a Japanese scientist and explorer who had been assisting her before he vanished in Tibet under mysterious circumstances, was the one who provided assistance. Yakumo, Fujii's son, established a connection to Pai by fusing his soul with hers and turning into a "wu," which is a term for an immortal being. Now, they are both working for Li Lingling, the head of the Monster Fighting Agency, while travelling the world in an effort to reclaim their human essence. Their home base is in Hong Kong, and they perform their duties there.
