Space Quest: Chapter I - The Sarien Encounter

Because of his position as janitor on the spacecraft Arcada, Roger Wilco is considered to be one of the most significant crew members. A piercing alarm sounded just as he was doing what he does most well, which was nodding off in a closet, and the air was filled with its piercing sound. The nefarious Sariens launch an assault on Arcada! Roger finds out that he is the only one who has survived before he has a chance to process what is happening. The entire crew was eliminated by the Sariens, and they made off with the priceless Star Generator. The most important thing for Roger to do right now is to figure out how to get out of Arcada before the bomb goes off in fifteen minutes. And after that, he'll have to demonstrate to the Sariens why it's never a good idea to cross courageous intergalactic cleaners!

Using Sierra's AGI engine, the developers of Space Quest: The Sarien Encounter created a funny science fiction adventure game. The gameplay is quite similar to that of King's Quest; the player moves Roger about with the arrow keys and types in instructions to interact with the game world. There are riddles to unravel, and the player will find themselves in a multitude of predicaments in which they must use their wits to save Roger from certain death.
