Disney's Hot Shots: Cub Chase

Description

The Disney's Hot Shots series of casual games includes Cub Chase, which is one of the games in the series. Kovu and Kiara, two characters from Disney's The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, compete against one another in this game to finish covering a maze with paw prints while avoiding being caught by their babysitters.

Taking its cues from the Pac-Man formula, Cub Chase was created. Every maze is comprised of a number of different roads that cut through the grass and are separated by boulders. It is imperative that the cubs leave their paw prints on each and every surface in the trail. After completing this assignment, an exit will become available, allowing the cubs to leave the maze and go somewhere else. During this time, the babysitters will be attempting to capture the unruly cubs, which include Timon, Pumbaa, and Zazu. As is the case with the cubs, Timon and Pumbaa are constrained by the rocks, but Zazu is able to soar high enough to cross the artificial bounds. At the beginning of the game, a cub always has three paws. A paw is taken away from a cub whenever it is caught (also known as when it touches a caregiver). As soon as all of the paws have been used up, the game is ended.

On their side, the cubs have a few unique alternatives available to them. Hyena masks are hidden within certain mazes, and they have the ability to momentarily frighten away babysitters. In addition, there are bug nests that need to be broken open in order to divert the attention of the babysitters for a brief period of time.

It is possible to play the game with either one or two players. The cubs battle against one another on the same screen in the two-player mode to see who can cover the greatest ground while evading the babysitters.
