Sonic R

Description

Tails and Sonic run find a recruitment poster for a race called the World Grand Prix while they are away on vacation. At first, Sonic isn't interested, but when he finds out that Dr. Robotnik would be taking part, he changes his mind and chooses to compete. Robotnik is only interested in the race because he has discovered the location of the Chaos Emeralds, and now that he knows where they are, he will have the opportunity to beat Sonic while he is getting them. Knuckles learns that Sonic is going to take part, so he decides to do so as well. Amy is able to pick up on Robotnik's scheme, which means that she will also be competing to obtain the Chaos Emeralds.

In Sonic R, players can choose from a variety of game modes, including:

Grand Prix: You will compete against the other playable characters on each of the circuits, and you will also have the opportunity to race the level's boss in order to unlock some of the additional playable characters.

Run as quickly as you can on one of the courses, collect five balloons, or tag four different characters to win the Time Attack.

Multiplayer mode allows for up to four people to compete head-to-head or via a network. You can race against up to three other players, or you can challenge them to a game where they have to find balloons. For games involving two players, the display can be split either horizontally or vertically.
