Abadox: The Deadly Inner War

Description

Abadox: The Deadly Inner War is an action shooter developed for the NES console in 1989. The game is based on a story in which you are on the planet Abadox, which is attacked by an alien menace. As a heroic warrior, you must infiltrate the interior of the planet to defeat the enemy forces and save the surviving inhabitants.
The gameplay of this game is very simple and fun. The player controls a fighter plane that must avoid obstacles while destroying enemy ships and monsters. The obstacles are differently placed and are often very difficult to lose. However, once the player gets used to controlling the aircraft, the game becomes much easier and players will feel that their reflexes are already very improved in many ways. Throughout the game, the player can also improve by collecting various power-ups that increase their weapon strength and increase the speed of the aircraft. The graphics of the game are very solid for the NES. The several different environments and enemies are very colorful and vibrant. The design of the backdrops is simple but pleasing to the eye. At the same time, the animations of the aircraft and its movement are very smooth and provide a high level of gameplay. The music and sounds in Abadox are very good and directly fit the atmosphere of the game. One of the strongest points of this game is its difficulty. While some of the older NES games were known for their incredible difficulty, Abadox manages to captivate newcomers while still taking advantage of the skills of experienced players. Occasional combat sections segue into challenging bosses, adding another dimension and fun to the game. The only shortcoming of this game is its length. With only seven levels, a player can successfully complete Abadox in just a few hours of play. However, the difficulty of the game compensates for the ability to play on higher difficulty levels, which extends the playing time.
Overall, Abadox: The Deadly Inner War is a successful action shooter for the NES. Simple but fun gameplay, great graphics and difficulty make this game a great choice for fans of the genre. Although the game is typical of the NES console, it still has its place in gaming history and can be recommended to anyone who wants to play a good action shooter.
