Quake 2 Mission Pack: Ground Zero

Description

Quake 2 expansion pack that adds a few additional levels, enemies, and weaponry. Due to a Strogg gravity well, the Earth fleet attacking Stroggos is trapped in orbit. The player's only task upon arrival on the planet is to demolish the gravity well.

The chainsaw, the ETF (explosive-tipped flechette) rifle, the proximity mine launcher, and the plasma beam are examples of new weapons. Tesla mines, the defender sphere, the vengeance sphere, the hunter sphere, and the doppelganger are some of the new power-ups.

The turret and the stalker are two new creatures. The medic commander and the daedalus are enhanced opponents. The medic commander has the ability to use a hyperblaster or restore fallen enemies. The daedalus has a power shield and twin blasters. Every creature has superior AI.
