Ultimate Fighter
Description
An improved edition of Hiryu no Ken S: Golden Fighter that includes a selectable range of turbo speed settings to increase the intensity of the fights.
In the Story mode of the game, the primary plot revolves around a demon by the name of Dargon that has been resurrected with the sole intention of destroying a group of superheroes known as the Flying Warriors. Dargon dispatched his Tusk Soldiers to launch an attack on Shorinji, and in the process, they made off with a sacred sword and the hidden scroll of the Hiryu-no-ken. In addition to this, they issue a challenge to anyone who might be interested in reclaiming these artefacts, stating that in order to do so, a showdown at the World Tournament is required. It is now up to Rick to compete in this fighting tournament in order to win back these invaluable artefacts.
In the story mode, players take control of Rick in a beat 'em up that features side scrolling action. One-on-one boss fights will appear here and there throughout the game. It will also be possible for players to find healing items, which are referred to as "miracle water," that will restore their health if it has been depleted.
In the mode known as "VS. Tournament," as many as eight players can compete against each other or against the computer in one-on-one duels to see who can emerge victorious. The players have the option of playing as any one of twelve different fighters, each of whom possesses their very own unique martial arts technique. You have the option of setting the speed of turbo mode, activating or deactivating cosmic saucer (which knocks the opponent out of the ring), adjusting the time limit of a round of fighting to 1, 3, or 5 minutes, or having no time limit at all, and deciding how much of a handicap to give a fighter.
Players have the opportunity to engage in a one-on-one fight against a computer-controlled boss opponent of their choosing in the Battle mode of the game.
The Animation mode is very similar to the Story mode in terms of how it plays out, with the exception of the boss fights. When playing in this mode, boss fights are fought using a turn-based system. Players have a variety of offensive and defensive options to choose from, and they also have the option of letting the computer fight their battles for them automatically.
Additionally, there are two distinct control schemes for the battle system in this game. The majority of fighting games are controlled using the Fighting mode, while the Expert mode causes target circles to appear on both the player and their opponent while they are engaged in combat. Players are required to attack their opponent wherever the target circles are located on their body, and they must defend themselves whenever the target circles are located on their own body. In addition, the player can select from one of eight different levels of difficulty when playing.
