Hardwar: The Future is Greedy

Description

The collection of craters has been given the label Misplaced Optimism... And there's not a single thing wrong with that. The colony originally began as a mining colony and is now situated on Titan, one of Saturn's moons. As word of the richness of the mineral discovery spread, gangs rushed in... until the entire place was owned by two opposing gangs, some miscellaneous factions, and a lot of people caught in between, with no way out.

You are only one of the owners of a "moth" flyer, and you want to escape this godforsaken hellhole as quickly as possible. The only way to achieve this is to play the game, which is a brutal game of survival.

The games Elite and Privateer served as motivation for the development of the free-form and plot-driven video game Hardwar. You are welcome to join the other simulated ships as they go about their own missions in the simulated universe of Entire Misplace Optimism, which may include transport, piracy, bounty hunting, or any number of other activities. You can turn a profit by transporting your own items from the origin to the destination. You must first track down the defenseless merchant moths, then use your weapons to dismember them, and finally plunder their goods. Under the direction of the local authorities, hunt down and apprehend any pirates and other criminals you come across. Improve the functionality of your machine by installing additional components, software, or even new moth models. In this virtual environment, it is possible to actually own buildings and collect money from other players for things like maintenance and other services. If you stick with the story and complete the various challenges along the way, you just might be able to find a way out of this terrible place for good...
