Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals

Description
The video game Lufia & the Fortress of Doom has a prequel called Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals. Its events take place ninety-nine years before it, and it explains the origin of the series' antagonists, a group of super-humans known as the Sinistrals. These events take place in the time before it. The player takes control of the swordsman Maxim, who is the ancestor of the protagonist from the first game. Maxim embarks on a journey after having a chance encounter with a mysterious woman whose name is Iris. His goal is to find other heroes who will assist him in preventing the Sinistrals from destroying the world.
Rise of the Sinistrals is a role-playing game (RPG) in the Japanese-style turn system with many puzzle elements thrown in, just like the first game. The game makes heavy use of puzzles in the design of its dungeons, and players must make use of a wide variety of items and components in order to solve them. In addition to this, it includes a system known as "Capsule Monsters," which allows players to call upon monsters to assist them in combat. They would advance in level if provided with weapons, armour, or unique fruits. There are no encounters that happen at random in the dungeons, as was the case in the first game; instead, all of the foes can be seen moving around on the screen.
