Test Drive: Off-Road

Description

Tarmac racing is a staple of the Test Drive game series, which is a collection of arcade-style racing games. This game, on the other hand, marked the beginning of a sub-series of games in which players compete in dangerous races across poorly constructed terrain.

You have your choice between four different monster trucks: the Hummer, the Land Rover Defender 90, the Jeep Wrangler, and the Chevrolet K-1500 Z71. Each of these monster trucks has its own unique handling and realistic damage modeling. Put them through a series of 12 different tracks that include sand, snow, and dirt. Within the context of the single-player mode, your objective is to make your way through progressively more difficult leagues.

It is possible to play the game from a variety of different camera perspectives. The soundtrack consists of three exclusive remixes of music from the industrial band Gravity Kills. There can be a maximum of four drivers competing against each other in the race.
