Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars

Description

The fantasy video game Heroes of Might and Magic II is a turn-based strategy game that takes place in the magical realm of Enroth. There are many various kinds of creatures, ranging from griffins and rocs to golems and pikemen, unicorns and hydras, golems and pikemen, and four distinct varieties of dragons. Each style of castle has its own unique cast of six creatures, ranging from the weakest to the strongest. There are six different kinds of castles, and each one corresponds to a different hero class: the Knight, the Sorceress, the Wizard (on the Good side), the Barbarian, and the Warlock (Evil side). In addition, there are six distinct sorts of neutral animals that can be recruited from the many unique structures that are dispersed over the landscapes.

The combat displays in this sequel are significantly larger and more interactive than those in the previous game. Instead of requiring players to memorize spells, the spell system is now based on the accumulation of spell points.

The actual maps themselves range from modest maps designed for just two players to enormous landscapes that can accommodate all six player types. The game comes with a map editor, and it supports multiplay over hotseat, modem, or Internet connections.
