Battlezone

Description

First-person shooter real-time strategy video game Battlezone was created and released by Activision. In 1998, it was made available for Microsoft Windows. The only similarities between this game and the original arcade game of the same name are the name and the inclusion of tanks. Real-time strategy, first-person shooter, and tank simulation games were all combined into one by Activision. In Battlezone, the player controls everything from a first-person perspective on the battlefield.

Bio-metal scrap, which is utilized to create new units and build new structures, is the game's main resource. Building and controlling units is done using the interface, either by using the mouse to choose an object on the screen or the number keys on the keyboard. The player builds vehicles to gather bio-metal scraps, create base defenses, and construct new base vehicles capable of creating more complex structures and vehicles after starting with a bio-metal recycler (the most fundamental construction unit).

Bio-metal scrap can be obtained by the player either by locating it or by recovering it from a destroyed opponent unit. When a ship is sunk, the pilot must jump out and risk being murdered, but he or she can escape by joining any friendly vehicle.
