Dungeon Keeper 2

Description

Dungeon Keeper 2 is a fantasy real-time strategy game by Bullfrog Productions, released in 1999 for the Windows platform. It follows the successful first installment from 1997 and once again takes us to a dark and mysterious underground world where you rule over your orcs and creatures of evil as an evil spirit.

The game takes place in a vast underground labyrinth that you must build and expand to become the darkest and most powerful haven for your evil followers. Throughout the campaign, you must duel with heroes who seek to destroy and dismantle your dark kingdom.

One of the main draws of Dungeon Keeper 2 is the ability to play as an evil overlord, which is quite unusual in the RTS game genre. Your goal is not to build a prosperous society, but rather to spread terror and misery. Rethinking whether your decisions are morally right is not to be found here. All that matters is power and circularity, which can be very liberating.

The gameplay is divided into two basic parts - building your underground haven and combat action. When building, you must carefully plan the placement of rooms and corridors so that your orcs can perform their tasks efficiently. Each room has its purpose - for example, chests for storing gold, workshops for making weapons and traps, or prisons for captured heroes. The game also offers the ability to upgrade your units and buildings, which will help you in the fight against enemies.

The combat action is very entertaining and thrilling. Your orcs are divided into different classes such as warriors, wizards or builders. With each level of experience, their strength and abilities increase, giving you a better chance in battle. However, heroes are tough nuts and you need to have a good plan for their strategy.

The graphics are very hilarious and the dark atmosphere of the underground world is perfectly captured. The game has a good soundtrack and great music that supports its dark atmosphere.

Dungeon Keeper 2 is still considered one of the best real-time strategy games and it is definitely deservedly so. Its great gameplay, perfect mix of building and combat, and fresh and original theme keep it at the top of the charts to this day. If you like dark and unconventional games, you definitely don't want to miss this legendary strategy game.
