Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror
Description
Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror is the sequel to the successful adventure game Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars. Developed by Revolution Software, this title brings us the further adventures of George Stobbart and Nico Collard. This time it takes place in Central America, specifically in the famous forest town of Tezcatlipoca.
The play begins when George and Nico meet at Nico's place in Paris. But their peaceful afternoon is soon shattered by the harrowing news that Nico's father has been kidnapped. Together, they head to the scene of the crime and soon discover that a mysterious sect is behind the kidnappings, seeking the Dragon Mirror, a secret treasure chest that is said to contain powerful objects. George and Nico find themselves in a deep jungle, where their only goal will be to help the aforementioned father and prevent the evil plan of the cultists.
The game offers us a gripping and suspenseful story that will keep you in suspense until the very end. George and Nico are well-devised characters who have their own distinctive traits and the relationship that exists between them is very interesting. This makes it easy for the player to relate to the characters and feel like a part of their story.
The graphics of the game are very nice and detailed. The environment of Central America is thoughtfully created and offers a lot of beautiful and atmospheric locations. This gives the player the perfect feeling that they have really taken a journey to an exotic land.
The gameplay is very simple and intuitive. The controls are comfortable and you can easily get used to all the necessary movements and functions. You will solve various puzzles and logical tasks that are interesting and varied. In addition, there is also an option to choose from two difficulty levels, which adds to the game experience.
