Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far

Description

You have been given the responsibility of leading the Allied soldiers during Operation Market Garden. You have the option of playing as the Germans or the Allies throughout the game. The action in the game takes place in real time and is seen from above. The battleground is gory and incredibly realistic, complete with the sounds of real weaponry being fired as well as the screams of men in anguish as their heads are being blown off.

Because of the AI, the Close Combat series has always had a grounded sense of realism. If the Germans charge or do something similar, your men will flee, and if you make them do something idiotic (like rush tanks), they will be unresponsive and go away. If you give them the order to march into enemy territory while they are being fired upon, they will either retreat to the starting point or turn away from the adversary.
