Captain America and the Avengers

Description

A one-to-four-player (simultaneous) side-scrolling beat 'em up, Captain America and the Avengers pits four Marvel Comics licenced heroes (Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Vision) against the nefarious Red Skull, who has assembled a group of super-villains in an effort to take over the world.

The game is split into five stages, with the majority of the action taking place in side-scrolling brawler stages. However, some of the levels also include side-scrolling shooting stages, with the heroes engaging in combat with antagonists in the atmosphere (Stage 2), underwater (Stage 3), and in outer space (Stage 5). (Stage 5). The Living Laser and Klaw, Whirlwind, Grim Reaper, Wizard, Mandarin, Juggernaut, Ultron, Controller, Crossbones, and the Red Skull are the game's boss villains. Other bosses include the Mandarin and the Red Skull. In addition to the four playable Avengers, Quicksilver will make brief appearances to drop energy replenishments, and the Wasp will be able to add protection as well as firepower in the areas where players will be shooting.
