Battle Cars

Description

The year 2205 is when the events of Battle Cars take place. As a result of the Greenhouse Effect taking its toll on the world in the century before, the polar ice caps have melted, which has caused countries to begin to go underwater. As a direct consequence of this, battles for territory have become more intense, causing confrontations to become nuclear, which has permanently altered the landscape.

You are a novice driver competing in the new blood sport known as Battle Cars, which is hosted by the IBCA (International Battle Cars Association). Your objective is to first qualify for each race, then eliminate your competitors, and finally engage in a showdown for supremacy with the best driver from that circuit.

There are a total of nine levels, each with their own distinct boss and the opportunity to improve both your vehicle and your arsenal of weapons. The gameplay is very similar to that of F-Zero, but the cars are more closely based on those used in Formula One racing.
