JetFighter III

Description

It's been a while, but the Jetfighter series is back, and this time it's being developed and published by Mission Studios, a spin-off company from Velocity, the company that created the genre in the first place. The conflict this time is against a drug lord, but instead of taking place on the West Coast of the United States like it did in the two films that came before it, it is set in South America. The campaign follows a format that is analogous to that of Strike Commander and Wing Commander, in which the pre-written missions are connected by a complex narrative. The player takes on the role of a pilot serving onboard an aircraft carrier and has the ability to travel freely across the ship between different missions.

Terrain in Jetfighter III is derived from satellite data, and it features cities, roads, and airports that are located in their proper geographical locations. Examples of jets that can be flown include the F/A-18 and the F-22N.
