Deadline

Description

Deadline is a tactical game that combines real-time action with strategic planning. It also has themes that are related to the fight against terrorism. A third-person, over-the-top perspective is utilized, much like the original X-COM, with the exception that it is played in real time.

The game challenges you against a wide variety of enemies, including drug dealers, escaped inmates, an angry MIT professor armed with a high-powered rifle, and fanatical cultists, some of whom you are supposed to save from themselves. However, in later missions, terrorists will be your principal adversaries to face up against.

You have the objective of freeing the captives and eliminating the bad guys, but you must also make sure that you stay away from any bloodshed or deaths that may occur on any side. This indicates that you are not permitted to drown your adversaries in their own blood, and the majority of them must be captured alive in order for you to successfully accomplish the assignment.

Through the use of a video phone and the negotiating mode, Deadline also gives you the opportunity to speak with terrorists, albeit to a limited level. On top of that, you can devote some of your time to study in order to acquire additional knowledge regarding the terrorists, the captives, the location, and so on. An extensive history is associated with each expedition. The name of the game, however, gives the impression that there is a time restriction, and if you spend an excessive amount of time twiddling your thumbs, the hostages will be executed, and you will be dismissed.
